Dolores Maria Davis
I am a grandmother to boy and girl twins who love to travel and eat. I write mostly in my patio located in Palos Verdes, California with Lily, my terrier, at my side. I also enjoy two, long-attended writers’ groups.
Mexico City was my home for two years as a young woman, which, combined with my travels to Japan, Spain, Portugal, the Azores, Morocco, France, the Caribbean, Finland, Germany and Egypt, has shaped my tastes in foods and culture.
I’ve worked in Finland on food assignment, cooked with celebrities, and taught on several Cable-TV cooking shows.
UCLA Hospitality School and various writing classes have fortified my interests as a chef and writer, as has EEO (Egyptian Exploration Organization) my passion for Egypt.
